2024 Player Evaluations

Thank you to those that have already registered for the 2024 fastpitch season! We are looking forward to a great year on the field! In this message you will find information regarding player evaluations that will take place on Sunday, March 10 or Sunday March 17 at St. Peter High School's indoor turf room. We would like to evaluate all interested players for 10U through 14U. Players that have registered for 8U or 18U do not need to attend evaluations. Players that are already assigned to a travel team this summer do NOT need to attend these evaluations.

You should attend evaluations if:

1. You're already registered to play this summer

2. You are not currently on a 2024 travel team (these teams were formed in the fall of 2023 but may have roster spots available)

3. You are not yet registered but interested in playing for St. Peter Fastpitch this summer

Players interested in pitching or catching will be asked to stay at the conclusion of the evaluation time to be evaluated for pitching/catching. We expect to be done within the hour scheduled. Players should bring their softball gear including their bat, helmet, glove, and facemask. Wear clean tennis shoes as well.

Please sign up for a time below that fits your age group. If your age group time does not work in your schedule, it is okay to sign up for a different time slot, just note age level in the notes. You only need to sign up for one time on a Sunday that works for you, not both Sundays.

Keep the Girls Busy Until Softball Season!

Below are some skills the girls can work on for the upcoming season!

Pitching

Pitching is one of the hardest things to do in softball. It takes 30 mins a day, 3 days a week of pitching. Practice good form and consistency.

Hitting

It is important to remember to start your body and hands coming forward on each pitch. Time the pitcher out in the on deck circle. Then once you get to the plate, all you need to worry about is meeting the ball to the bat. Watching it all the way in.
